The first 100 million years, that’s what the Webb Space Telescope with be able to document, the earlier moments of our massive universe.  We discuss this on today’s along with with new insights into black holes, which seem to be giving birth to stars, no longer simply destroyers of matter.  Closer to home, our Space Force has launched a couple of new spy satellites, looking not at the earth but at enemy satellites.  And on earth, a new startup is planning to introduce autonomous electric Tesla tech to freight trains, allowing each car to be navigable and autonomous..

Hey, it was Battery Day today and Bobby Wilder gives us a little update on Elon’s latest announcement.  And in Santa Cruz, a lot of folks are fed up with the virus restrictions and are staging a concert to open up the town. Organizer Tim Welch is here to tell us all about it. And finally, some updates on space news regarding finding signs of life on Venus and “stupendously large black holes,” or SLABs.  They can be as large as 100 Billion star masses in size. Compare this to our very own black hole in the center of our Milky Way galaxy, at only 4.5 million solar masses. SLABs are a new frontier for studying dark matter. Enjoy!

The Santa Cruz MiniMaker Faire was indeed a fun experience for all who attended.  Not having to brave the traffic and long lines of the big Maker Faire was a relief, and it twas truly enjoyable.  And for those of you into space, the inflatable space habitat is almost ready for human inhabitation! From there you’ll be watching those black holes colliding and feeling the weightlessness of the experience! 

And back home, our Monarch butterflies are on the flutter march to Northern territories, and we’ve figured out how they do it!  Tune in..
